April 24th, 2015, marked the 20th anniversary of the death of Sendai Kancho Hideyuki Ashihara.

Since I never had the opportunity to meet him, I make sure every time I travel to Japan, I always come to his grave to a make silent prayer and honor him.

On the black grave stone his message to us is:
“Challenge yourself” !
